On what it has been like working the frontlines during COVID-19:

It is a new disease. We did not know much about it, so dealing with uncertainty was stressful for everyone.

We collaborated with the psychiatric department and created a nursing support group where we also created an email where nurses can send their concerns anonymously, and we answer them within a time frame. We have received several emails.

Our heroes, champions, and soldiers are clinical nurses, head nurses, area managers, educators,  and deputy directors of nurses. One thing that I will never forget about the pandemic is that it has shown their optimal skill, talent and commitment to providing optimal patient care. They worked extremely hard to provide effective 24-hours care.

I am very proud  to say that we have built the infrastructure of nursing staff who are cross trained and ready to support the organization at any time of emergency. I thank Allah for blessing us with such an amazing nursing team at all levels.
